Training for Supervisors, DERs and Drivers

CDS offers the following training programs at our corporate headquarters. On-site training can be arranged for 10 or more people.  Regional training classes are conducted bi-annually.

Supervisor Training is required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.  Employers must ensure that all supervisors of drivers receive 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and 60 minutes of training on controlled substances abuse.  This training ensures that supervisors are able to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to require a driver to undergo testing under 49 CFR Part 382.307.  This training will include the physical, behavioral, speech and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and controlled substances abuse.

Designated Employer Representative (DER) Training covers program requirements as well as audit preparation, which includes policies and procedures, DOT regulations, consortium services and disciplinary actions for violation of rules.

Hours of Service Logs / Claims Management Training provides managers with industry knowledge on managing their drivers day to day operations.  This protects the general public and your bottom line.

FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Training addresses newly proposed rules which will require employers, MROs and SAPs to report all positive tests or refusals to test to the federal database.

All training programs are available at our location or on-site for 10 or more people.  Supervisor training is also available online.
